A Small Discovery
I set my sights on the olive-drab tactical crate beside me. Climbing its textured ribbing required slow, measured steps, but each paw held firm. From the flat lid, the yard opened up in a wide, clear sweep. Right near the corner hinge, I spotted a forgotten brass fastener wedged into a groove. I crouched, gently working it loose with one paw. It is smooth, heavy for its size, and fits perfectly into my empty chest pouch. A sturdy elevated post, and a useful find.
