Scaling the Wooden Wedge
I stepped down from the lower desk shelf and marched right out onto the wide floorboards! Wedged under the open doorway sat a smooth, triangular wooden doorstop. The sharp incline looked like an engineered ramp waiting to be climbed? My first attempt to stride straight up the sloped face sent my brick paws skidding right back to the floor. Sliding is just a signal to rethink the angle! I pivoted sideways, braced my hind feet along the textured rubber rim at the base, and levered myself up to the top ridge with a crisp click. Looking out past the threshold from the summit feels completely new, doesn't it?
