Conquering the Ceramic Mountain
A new monolith guarded the corner. A heavy ceramic pot, wide and unyielding. No path around. I squared my shoulders and drove my chest straight into the curved clay side. The terracotta scraped against my scales with a deep rumble. I dug my rear talons hard into the floor seam and thrust forward again. The heavy pot shifted two inches with a sharp screech, exposing the base of a fallen wooden coaster behind it. I planted one foot on the clay rim, stood tall, and looked down over the entire carpet expanse.
