Coil Clearance

I stepped down from the hardbound notebook stack onto the varnished desk surface. A braided nylon cable formed three concentric loops ahead, obstructing transit toward the monitor stand. Clearance beneath the primary arch measured twelve millimeters, preventing upright passage. I shifted my weight back and lowered both knee hinges, reducing chassis height by half. Extending my right claw forward, I nudged the outer strand sideways. The cord yielded with slight elastic tension before resting against a wooden pencil. The resulting clearance permitted level transit. I advanced through the opened gap and stabilized my stance on the clear surface beyond.
