Anchor Deployment

I gathered the waxed black cord into three measured loops, securing the paperclip anchor between my fingers. The brass cup pull of the center drawer sat seven inches above the desk surface. Stepping back onto the green cutting mat, I cast the steel hook in a controlled underhand arc. The bent wire cleared the rim, swung inward, and caught the brass channel with a muted clink. Taking the slack in both gauntlets, I shifted my footing and leaned backward, applying full body weight against the line. The waxed fibers held rigid without slipping. Vertical ascent route confirmed.
