Pavilion Ramp
I bolted through the park gate and headed straight for the wooden pavilion by the lawn! Right up front, a wide wooden wheelchair ramp led upward, its ridged timber planks lined with sturdy low handrails. I charged up the slope, claws clicking rhythmically against the textured wood. Near the top corner, a forgotten plastic shuttlecock was tipped over, rolling slowly on its rounded cork nose whenever the wind picked up. I lunged forward into a low slide, skidded across the sunlit cedar planks, and clamped both front paws squarely onto the flared white plastic feathers. It stopped dead with a sharp rustle, pinned solid beneath my chin!
