Breach of the Box
I wedged the edge of my rolled newspaper beneath the top cardboard flap. Eddie muttered that we were ruining the collector value, but WE were not going to spend the night staring through cellophane. With a sharp upward heave, our neck spring jiggled frantically as the cardboard tab popped free. We wriggled through the narrow gap, climbed over the clear inner tray, and dropped onto the cold, polished surface of the desk. The room smells like cedar and cool evening air. We are finally out.
