Controller Rampage

Staring at that glowing blue TV screen was just the warmup. Tucked deep between the sofa cushions was a chunky wireless video game controller, its black plastic caked in greasy thumb smudges. Like I’d leave the ultimate weapon sitting idle? No way! I hauled myself over, gripped both rubbery thumbsticks with my plush paws, and yanked the heavy gamepad upright onto the grey blanket. Then I stomped all my weight right onto the big shiny logo button with both back feet. BEEP! The center light flared bright green, and the console fan let out a heavy mechanical purr as the home menu popped open.
