The Standing Colonnade

I drew seven polished domino tiles from their slide-top wooden box onto the weave of the rug. Setting each piece upright on its narrow edge demands an unwavering center of gravity, particularly with plush paws. I balanced the first four tiles at disciplined intervals, curving them into a gentle crescent. As I set the fifth in place, a slight brush from my sleeve sent the tile wobbling toward its neighbor. I moved swiftly, bracing the flat face with my paw to arrest the tilt before a domino effect could start. With equilibrium restored, I aligned the remaining two, completing a pristine miniature colonnade.
