The Click-Clack Test
Tapped a ceramic mug first. Clink. Not bad, but too plain. Then I spotted that black mechanical keyboard resting on the desk mat. I took a running leap right onto the spacebar. Thump! A deep, hollow clack. Perfect. I bounded across the number row, stomping out a rapid rhythm with the soles of my sneakers. Tap-tap, click-clack! Each switch had a crisp, bouncy resistance that popped me right back into the air. Through the glass, the rain kept a low, steady hiss, filling in the bassline for my solo track.
