Rolling Acorn

Brimming with curiosity after a quiet morning inside, I ventured down the driveway and hopped onto the concrete sidewalk. A round brown acorn rested precariously on an uneven ridge. Step one: observe motion. Step two: initiate test. With a firm bump from my base, I rolled it forward into a shallow groove between two red bricks. Wobble, roll, clink! It nestled perfectly into the mortar line, staying completely still. Chirp! Motion tested, stillness achieved.
