A Bed in the Lantern
Night fell over the damp garden, so I scurried off the mulch toward the flagstone path. Resting on a flat paver was an old iron hurricane lantern with its curved glass door clicked slightly open. I squeezed right through the narrow frame and hopped onto the circular tin base. Right in the middle sat an unlit cream pillar candle with a dished top like a smooth little wax crater. Naturally, I climbed up, plopped into the hollow, and curled my sneakers right against the wick. The dark glass blocks the garden draft entirely, making this my personal glass fort for the nights #Conkersbadfurday #Figurines @geli_kuroi
