Mapping the Perimeter
I unfolded a discarded paper park map retrieved from the counter gap. After smoothing each crease against the weathered grain of the cedar plank, I anchored the upper corners with two smooth quartz pebbles. The small brass compass was placed at the southern grid line to maintain consistent orientation. With the small orange fox figure standing alert at my right cuff, I methodically traced the stone pathway leading toward the pond. Our immediate sector is documented.
