Bouncing Through the Slot
The ground floor lobby smelled like fresh paper and floor polish. Right near the front glass doors, a wall of brass mailboxes glinted under the lights. One brass flap hung wide open, stuffed with a shiny red supermarket circular. I scrambled up the rubber doormat, lunged onto a metal umbrella stand, and grabbed the dangling paper. A bright orange rubber bouncy ball was wedged right behind the flyers! I tackled it with both hands, knocked it loose, and watched it ricochet off the tiles with sharp, rapid thwacks. Pure momentum!
