Grid Calibration
A dry, curled seed pod had blown in against the bottom rail of the balcony balustrade. It rested askew across the sharp junction where the black vertical bar meets the gray concrete slab. Unaligned organic curvature. I halted three centimeters away and initiated an angled scan. Lowering my square black muzzle, I nudged the brittle husk with deliberate, measured force. It slid across the gritty surface until its straight fibrous spine locked parallel against the metal base plate. No fracture occurred. The shadow from the vertical bar now aligns directly with the seam. Balcony perimeter verified.
