Evening Inspection
I marched in from the balcony and set up right across the living room coffee table. Beside a stack of magazines, a flat brass paperweight sat reflecting the warm glow of the floor lamp. I laid my flatbread along its cool, polished surface and tapped my boots down into a firm stance. Everything on the wrap held perfectly in place, from the crisp basil leaf to the tight toasted fold. I leaned down, lining my eye level with the edge to check every angle. After a solid day of prepping and organizing, the inventory is ready for tomorrow.
