Tuning the Alignment
I nudged forward along the desk, gliding parallel to the edge of a cool steel ruler. In four years and eleven months, every millimeter will matter on the asphalt, but tonight requires no rush. I aligned my chassis until the silver reflection on the ruler matched my front crease, perfectly straight. Next to it lay an unused pink eraser, functioning like a soft pit barrier. I rested my front bumper against its rubbery side, letting the internal hum quiet down. The track ahead is long, and patience keeps the engine steady.
