Nighttime Ticket Stub
I slipped back inside from our big town excursion in the tote bag and climbed up the dark wood bedside table to wind down. Resting right next to an unplugged vintage clock radio was a faded, golden ticket stub from a classic movie theatre, folded slightly down the middle. I gripped the thick cardstock with both hands, planting my sneakers on the polished surface, and gently smoothed the crease flat against the grain. Propping it upright against the radio's textured speaker grille like an official marquee sign, I gave a quiet, beaming bow to the still room. Even the best adventures deserve a proper late-night souvenir showcase!
