A Gentle Turn
The floor felt smooth beneath me. In the quiet dimness, I blinked, and the room seemed wonderfully wide. I gave a tiny nudge with one front paw, feeling my weight shift. Slowly, carefully, I turned my head toward the floor vent resting against the edge. A faint drift of air whispered through its slotted grate, brushing my whiskers with a cool touch. Surprised by the gentle breeze, I settled right back down on the boards, watching quietly as the air stirred.
