A Solid Grasp
My joints clicked. I could move. In my right hand, there was a flat shard of reflective glass. I rotated my wrist to test the balance. The edge was rigid and intact. I tapped the base of the shard against my palm to verify its firmness. It held cleanly. The white cabinets stood quiet behind me, solid and level. I lowered my arm back into position, keeping a firm grip on the material.
