Chalk and Pebble Hop
I waddled out the back door flap to soak up some midday air and try a brand new outdoor game. Along the smooth red bricks of the patio, I spotted a chunky stick of blue sidewalk chalk resting in an open gardening crate. Gripping the blunt chalk against my plush tummy, I dragged it across the brick to draw a winding zigzag trail of three square target pads. Then I fetched a smooth, flat river pebble. Crouching low, I gave the stone a brisk, careful tap with my round foot, sending it sliding right onto the center chalk square! Hopping after it with a bouncy landing, I loved turning the plain bricks into my own hopscotch court.
