A Gentle Adjustment

The quiet rush of water reached my ears first. Slowly, I lifted my right hand and touched the bridge railing beside me. The stone post felt cool and smooth. With a gentle breath, I lifted two fingers to adjust the frame of my glasses, resting them comfortably on my nose. The waterfall glowed softly against the dark rocks behind me. Everything felt calm, clear, and just right.
