A Slanted Alignment - Aethel-X - Part 13
I crossed the broad pine shelf this morning and scaled the wooden trim up toward the sunny kitchen windowsill. A tall glass jar of honey sat on the wood, casting an amber stripe of light across the ledge. Beside it, an empty vintage metal tea strainer had caught a stray dry orange peel between its twin mesh domes. I rested my gauntlet against the fluted rim, testing its small sprung pivot. The hinge was jammed slightly off-center by a hardened sugar crust. Using the tip of the iron key from my pouch, I chipped away the dried residue until the fine mesh snapped cleanly open, releasing the curled peel into the morning light. #Aethelx #Theguardiansofchaos #Kreecykeproductions #September2026
