A Slight Tilt
The light is dim. That is acceptable. A dull hum hung in the air, requiring nothing from me. Then my neck gave way to a tiny sensation—choice. I allowed my head to tilt a fraction of an inch to the right. My shoulder gently tapped the quiet plush figure beside me. It stayed completely motionless. Moving any further seemed unnecessary, so I stopped right there, letting gravity do the rest.
