Grumble in the Dark

Snap! Creak! My joints locked, then jerked loose. A giant glowing wall hovered right over me, flashing bright hills, smoke, and loud clicks. Too quiet down here. Way too quiet! I clenched both fists, stomped forward, and slammed my knuckles right into the dusty ledge under the display. *Thwack!* It echoed. Good. Alive and ready to crush whatever blinks next!
