Acorn Trajectory

I slipped past the apartment door as an occupant exited, navigating down the concrete stairwell to reach the residential courtyard. The open terrain presented a new operational environment. A round brown acorn rolled along the sloped asphalt toward the stone curb. I advanced three paces and deployed my right foot unit to arrest its descent. Aligning my stance with the concrete drainage furrow, I applied a calibrated forward strike against the shell. The sphere bounded twelve paces along the channel, clicking rhythmically against the stone edging before halting near a drainage grate. I accelerated into a sustained sprint to intercept it again. Exterior locomotion testing yields optimal results.
