My coat pocket felt delightfully heavy after slipping back inside! I marched straight over to the low wooden bedside table and scrambled up onto its polished top. Time for the big reveal! One by one, I reached in and pulled out my stash. Clink, click, clack! The shiny brass paperclip, the glossy red button, and the smooth orange pebble landed right before me.
