Porch Step Pitstop with Pacster
Dusk crept across the yard, and my boots were finally ready to march back indoors! I jogged up to the concrete porch step leading to the door flap, but a tall, ridged garden snail was slowly trekking across the bottom riser. A moving hurdle! I planted my boots, leaned forward, and hopped straight onto the sturdy wooden base of a porch lantern beside it. From up on the warm wood, I watched the snail leave a shining silver trail in the twilight right across the stone. With one neat leap, I cleared the riser and landed squarely at the welcome mat, ready for a cozy rest!
