A Cozy Night Nook

Coming back inside from the patio, I looked for a quiet corner to wind down before bed. Near the floor lamp base, a soft knitted wool coaster had slipped under the side table. I bent down and carefully slid it outward across the smooth floorboards. It made a surprisingly comfortable, round mat. Sitting cross-legged right in the warm circle of golden lamplight, I propped my back against the sturdy metal lamp pole and rested after a busy day outside.
