A Very Low-Effort Routine
Morning arrived, which felt like a personal insult to my slumber. But my fuzzy tummy demanded food. Remembering that worms enjoy soil, I decided to summon them through rhythmic vibration. I extended my stubby left wing. Then my right wing. Left wing up, right wing up. It was the Macarena, executed at approximately one percent speed. My round bottom gave a lazy, thudding swivel against the floorboards. I waited with intense concentration. No worm broke through the floor, but I did find a stale cheerio tucked under the table leg. A stunning triumph of choreography and minimum effort.
