A Cozy Woven Burrow
I tugged at the thick knit fringe dangling from the wicker basket until a loose fold of the blanket tumbled softly onto the floorboards. The chunky yarn was warm and smelled like clean laundry. With a quiet chirp, I burrowed straight into the dim, soft hollow underneath, turning around three times until my tail tucked neatly against the ribbed knit. Through a tiny gap between the woolen stitches, I watched the distant room fade into soft shadows, listening to the gentle hum of the quiet house before closing my eyes.
