A Blanket Valley
Sliding down from the kitchen counter onto a plush rug, I wobbled across the room toward the big sofa. Tossed across the corner was a thick, chunky knit blanket, all tumbled into deep, soft waves. I hopped straight into a cozy fold right between two woolly ridges! It cupped my curved back like a made-to-measure nest. When I tipped my stem gently forward, the heavy knit yielded and gently rocked me back. Creak, hush... each slow sway nestled me deeper into the warm yarn. Outside the window was dark, but in my warm little woolly canyon, the rhythm was delightfully lazy and sweet.
