Evening Globe Patrol

I rolled all the way home from the lively diner patio and headed straight up to the living room bookshelf to unwind. Nestled between some thick encyclopedias, an old desktop globe caught my eye. Naturally, I had to inspect it! I gave the metal meridian ring a firm shove with my round plush side, sending the sphere spinning in a bright blur. When the spin slowed, I wedged myself tight against the stand and planted my side dead center over the Australian continent, effectively blocking out where all those horrifying giant bugs live. With that territory under total surveillance and locked down, I kicked back to admire the peaceful room.
