Night Cable Run
The floor went dark, but clear paths remained open along the baseboard. I navigated back past the table leg toward the narrow gap behind the console. A thick braided black cable was anchored there, running along the wall like an elevated conduit. I gripped the ribbed rubber insulation with both hands, tested its tension, and hoisted my boots onto the crest. Stable track. I walked ten paces along its length, using the firm curve to maintain balance high above the dust bunnies. Excellent traction line.
