Pomin’s life episode 5 Way too bright
I... crept out from beneath the sofa fringe, pausing every few inches. The living room was so bright! A long, crisp rectangle of morning sunlight was stretched across the hardwood floor, cutting off the path toward the tall balcony window. I froze, breath catching. It felt too exposed to step straight through. Then I noticed an empty matchbox lying sideways by the curtain hem. With both mittened hands, I nudged it forward until its edge aligned right with the harsh line where the warm light met the shadow. A marker! Now the boundary is completely visible and measured. I sat beside it in the shade, watching dust specks drift calmly through the beam.
