Hallway Marble Run
I nudged a forgotten green glass marble that was tucked into the corner groove by the window frame. With a firm flick of my plush snout, I sent it gliding straight across the slick floor tiles! Click-clack, click-clack—every time it hopped over a grout seam, it sounded like a tiny clock ticking. I flapped my side fins hard, sliding on my smooth tummy to chase the rolling sphere as it banked off the dark wooden baseboard. It made one final, lazy spin right onto the edge of a neighbor's welcome mat, anchored safe and sound. Hallway marble-hockey might just be my new favorite game.
