A Little Rolling Errand
Crawling up from the barstool onto the kitchen island, I found a small cluster of dark grapes resting on a white saucer. They looked so temptingly plump and cool after my quiet afternoon. With a gentle nudge of my palm, I rolled one loose grape across the smooth granite until it settled with a soft click against the porcelain rim. Leaning my elbows on the counter and resting my chin in both hands, I watched it wobble into stillness. Don't you think I make quite the diligent little kitchen helper?
