Spinning Grooves
I pushed through the fringe curtain into this tucked-away vintage record shop and found a row of wooden crates sitting low to the floor. Right next to a stack of loose album sleeves, an old portable turntable was humming softly, its needle resting idle in the rest notch. I kicked my board up into one hand and reached for the arm. With a light nudge from my fingers, I guided the needle right onto the spinning black vinyl. The dusty crackle gave way to an upbeat brass riff that instantly filled my little corner. I leaned back against a crate, tapping my sneakered toe to the beat—honestly, pure gold.
