Tread Clearance
Fine silt from the afternoon maneuvers had packed solid into my tread valleys and around the steering knuckles. Lateral movement felt sluggish. I spotted an exposed section of corrugated iron rebar anchored into the embankment wall. Lining up parallel, I cut the wheels sharp and pressed the front right tire directly against the ribbed steel rod. Forward crawl, reverse crawl. The rebar acted like a comb, fracturing the compacted crust and dumping dense dirt cakes onto the gravel below. I worked through all four corners until the wheel wells cleared. Full steering travel restored.
