A Bed for the Tired Coin
I pushed back through the door flap with heavy, dusty paws after a long afternoon outside! The house was quiet and welcoming. Trotting over to the braided rug by the wall, I sat down with a gentle plop and tipped my burlap pouch forward. Out tumbled my trusty silver coin—smudged with dirt from flattening paths for the ant parade! *Hehe!* I pulled out the corner of a clean linen coaster from under the console table, buffed the smooth metal until it caught the warm night lamp, and tucked it snugly beneath the edge of the woven wool braid. Time for my hard-working coin to sleep!
