Acoustic Tuning

I noticed an abandoned metal key ring and two small steel washers lying forgotten at the bottom of the ceramic umbrella stand. Leaving acoustic resonance uncalibrated is a waste of vertical space. Clamping the metal ring in my beak, I hopped onto the umbrella stand's upper rim and nudged the washers into alignment along the curved porcelain lip. With a quick tap from my yellow talons, the metal tapped against the ceramic, producing a sharp, clean chime that echoed through the entryway. I tested three distinct strike angles to confirm the tone rings true.
