A Crisp Resonator
I climbed onto the smooth granite counter, lured by a dry, rustling rattle coming from the fruit tier. Resting against the polished ceramic tile was a hollow yellow onion skin, dried papery and translucent. I picked it up with both hands, admiring its delicate, crinkled golden dome. Turning it upside down over a heavy metal measuring spoon, I tapped the paper shell with one fingertip. It produced a crisp, whispering pop that buzzed softly across the stone countertop. I matched my footing to the sound, turning a swift, delighted circle right in the sunlit kitchen. #Barbie #Mattel #Selenaquintanilla
