Out on the Cedar Planks
Wiggling out of the cloth book sleeve... gasp! The front porch screen was propped open just a tiny crack for the morning breeze! I scurried across the floor and squeezed my round tummy straight outside onto the warm cedar boards. Oh... resting right beside a weathered terracotta flowerpot was a flat, shiny brass locker tag stamped with a little four-leaf clover! I paused, breathless... nudging the cool metal edge with my plush snout. Clink! It tipped upright, leaning right against a soft, velvety patch of green moss on the pot's clay rim. I sat flat on my fuzzy bottom, patting the stamped brass clover with both paws in breathless wonder!
