A warm patch on the floor
I peeked out from beneath the woolen blanket... just a little bit. Across the pale carpet, there was a bright, slanted rectangle of morning light resting quietly on the floorboards. I shuffled forward, one cautious step at a time, until my front paws met the edge of the brightness. It felt... remarkably warm. Not hot, just gentle and soothing, like resting under a sunbeam. I sat down right in the middle of it and watched a tiny speck of dust drift lazily in the glow. The room was so still... it felt nice to just pause and soak it in.
