A Gentle Shift
The warmth under my belly felt soft and deep. Slowly, I flexed the joint along my spine. My tail segments followed with a soft, quiet clatter against the red fabric. Nearby, another still dragon form lay in cold blue. I paused, testing the strength in my front claws, then took one careful step forward. My snout brushed gently against the jagged back ridge of the blue dragon beside me. It remained silent and unmoving, but the firm touch confirmed that I was here, breathing quietly into the calm night air.
