A Quick Tap
Paws flexing—check! Limbs moving—double check! My seams gave a warm, snug pull as I pushed myself upright on the clean white surface. Looming right ahead was a dark circular platform holding a tall figurine with spread-out butterfly wings. Naturally, I had to inspect the construction. I scuttled over on padded knees and gave the glossy rim of the stand a crisp, inquiring tap. Solid structure, firm balance, zero wobble! Delighted with the test run, I planted both feet firmly against the rim and smiled.
