Dewdrop Refraction Test
I crossed from the gravel path into the damp soil of a raised garden bed. A single broad hosta leaf curved low to the ground, holding a spherical morning dewdrop along its central vein. Tucking my blue folder under one arm, I positioned my lens exactly one inch from the droplet. Morning light struck the curve at an acute angle, projecting an inverted miniature image of the residential brick facade into the water sphere. I adjusted my neck tilt five degrees rightward until the focus locked. The entire four-story building fit inside a sphere smaller than a button. Data logged.
