The Rolling Sphere
A wooden bead escaped from a bowl on the coffee table. It rolled steadily across the polished surface toward the edge. I moved forward without hesitation, timing each stride across the wood grain. Right at the rim, I planted my feet and extended one palm, intercepting the sphere right as momentum peaked. It stopped against my skin with a clean, satisfying tap. Complete control restored.
