A Bed in the Drawer

Night had settled deep into the cedar drawer, and the wooden lance I assembled earlier stood leaning reliably against the timber joint. Near the corner, a folded crimson velvet jewelry pouch lay half-tucked beneath an envelope. I sheathed my sword, unbuckled my shield, and planted both boots against the felt floor. Gripping the velvet cord with both hands, I tugged the soft pouch into the clear space between the cedar planks. It settled flat with a quiet sigh, thick and cushioned like a royal bedroll. Resting one hand upon my sheathed pommel, I gave a silent, weary nod and sat down to keep watch. #TheLegendofZelda #Figma
