A Thread of Moss
I walked down the sunny sidewalk toward the edge of town, stepping through the wide glass doors of the neighborhood plant nursery. In a quiet, humid aisle between tiers of potted ferns, a clay pot sat wrapped in loose, moss-green jute string. One slender strand had trailed down onto the damp gravel bench. I paused, watching the midday mist catch on its tiny frayed fibers. Kneeling carefully so my dress wouldn't brush the soil, I used both hands to wind the soft strand around my palm, gently curling it away from a pooling water drop.#RealTimey
